Oil seal application
INFORMATION
Quick Selection Charts
- The oil seal is basically made of rubber, iron shell and spring. The main function of the oil seal is to block the outflow of internal liquid and the entry of external dirt. Generally, oil leakage or dirt inflow comes from the gap between the oil seal lip and the shaft, or the gap between the outer diameter of the oil seal and the assembly hole.
- Oil seals are widely used in vehicles and various industrial applications. They are divided into many different types and are generally used for non-pressure or pressure fluid sealing and severe grease sealing conditions.
- The structure is strengthened with iron parts; the outer diameter rubber-coated rubber design can improve the sealing ability; the oil seal with spring can strengthen the interference of the lip, while the oil seal without spring is mostly used in the application of high viscosity grease .
Sealing Lip Materials
- The most important part of the oil sealing material is the sealing material. FYC has developed a variety of sealing materials to meet various sealing needs. According to different sealing conditions, select the appropriate sealing material, mainly the following sealing materials can be selected:
- Nitrile (NBR)
- Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR)
- Polyurethane (PU)
- Silicone (SIL)
- Polyacrylate (ACM)
- Fluoro Carbon (Viton) (FPM)
- Fluorinated Silicone (FLS)
- Ethylene Propylene (EPDM)
- Polychloroprene (CR)
- PTFE (PTFE)
